He explained the compelling business drivers that necessitated this shift, from traffic demands and team scalability to architectural flexibility and the challenges, from navigating many service choices to the cost implications. The reengineering improved the security through AWS's shared responsibility model, the economic flexibility of a pay-as-you-go approach, and the reliability and scalability.
